A multitude of covers have surfaced over the Internet in reference to Vogue Hommes Japan Volume 5. The issue displays a male "figure" by the name of Jo Calderone. You may or may not recognize the familiar face, but if you don't- it's Lady Gaga. The three covers above and below are shot by photographer Nick Knight. The "Meat" by Lady Gaga cover is photographed by Terry Richardson. You can always tell when you've seen Terry's work with his signature use of lighting, a blank wall, and heavy flash. I personally enjoy both concepts just the same. The Knight photo is quite dark and androgynous. While the Richardson shot displays Lady Gaga's/ Nicola's signature avant garde, daring, and outlandish style. Both display simple photography with minimal editing or additives. Most times simplicity is the most powerful way to emulate exquisite design.

Lastly,I'd like to acknowledge that Nicola Formichetti is one of the best stylist out there to date. His work has been seen by the world.; The world of Lady Gaga anyway. I personally admire his work and believe that every stylist out there should step their game up. (and yes, Rachael Zoe is included in that mix)
